 Fortune just released its 2022 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, and several companies familiar to those in the residential real estate world made the cut.  At No. seven, Rocket Mortgage parent Rocket Cos. was the highest-ranked member of the group. It fell two spots from its fifth-place ranking in 2021, however.  David Weekley Homes was close behind, at No. nine. The Houston-based homebuilder was ranked No. thirteen last year.  The top spots on the list went to information technology giant, Cisco, followed by the hotelier, Hilton, and the Wegmans Food Markets Inc. grocery chain.  

 Fortune produced this year’s rankings with A Great Place to Work. The list was based on more than eight hunfred and seventy thousand employee survey responses and data provided by companies that altogether employ more than 6.1 million people. To be considered, companies must have at least one thousand U.S. employees, be Great Place to Work-Certified and cannot be government agencies.  The full list of real estate and real estate-adjacent companies making the list and their respective ranks are:   Rocket Cos., Detroit. David Weekley Homes, Houston. Veterans United Home Loans, Columbia, Mo. New American Funding, Tustin, Calif. Camden Property Trust, Houston. PulteGroup Inc., Atlanta. First American Financial Corp., Santa Ana, Calif. Zillow Group, Seattle.
