Redfin expanding Direct Access home tours to Boston-Ma: Massachusetts Homeowners Homeownership
Redfin is rolling out its Direct Access home tours to 22 markets, including Boston the company announced Tuesday. Redfin Direct Access allows homebuyers to self-tour homes with or without an agent. Partnering with ADT, homebuyers can visit Redfin-listed homes using the Redfin app to unlock the door and tour the property. Through the partnership, ADP equips these homes with smart locks and sensors allowing access to potential buyers while letting sellers know who is entering and exiting the property.
According to a company release, a home listed with Direct Access can generate more buyer interest to help properties sell quickly for top dollar. Redfin says homes with Direct Access tend to have double the tours and makes it easy for sellers to track tours and access buyer feedback in real-time. “In this hot market, more than a third of homes are finding a buyer within the first week and buyers are hustling to see new homes as quickly as possible.
Direct Access makes it simple to tour our sellers’ homes conveniently and safely without having to coordinate with an agent to schedule a showing, driving double the foot traffic that leads to offers for our sellers,” said Bridget Frey, Redfin’s chief technology officer in the release. “Thanks to advances in automation and smart home technology and changing consumer expectations, we’re able to offer a convenient and safe self-touring option that would have seemed outlandish just a decade ago. Our new partnership with ADT gives customers confidence that their home is protected by the most trusted brand in smart home security.”
